Post Tourney Fishing on Beech

Matt and I went fishing on Beech and then Cedar at 5 30.  It was extremely cold.  We each caught a bunch of little ones.  A 2lb 1oz bass on Beech attacked my wacky worm on my second cast to deep water.  We then went to fish the point on cedar, as we always do at the end of our trips to the ABC's.  Caught a few little ones and then wham!!..Matt had a 2lb bass.

Re: Post Tourney Fishing on Beech

It was a beautiful day for the tournament. Even though I sprained my ankle really bad this morning, I wanted to come out and support all the youngsters out there. Even taught one kid how to tie a proper knot and rig a wacky worm. Unfortunately, I had to leave a little early because my ankle was swelling bad from walking all three lakes.

Good to finally meet Andrew, Josh, and Broad Run's softball coach. I had a great time helping out, meeting, and fishing with everyone.

Ernie - hope you were able to get all of those sticky weeds off of your clothes smile. I will send the photos I took to you very shortly to post.

Khahn,

Thanks for coming out. it was a lot of fun. As soon as Charlie gets the report written, I will add a ton of pictures. I will also put them up on the PHOTO page.

Nice dedication to catching fish. Now try throwing something other than a wacky worm...time to master your next lure!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

It is too much fun.  I seem to master a different lure seasonally, but after I learn it good enough to catch a ton of fish I just cannot stop.  Matt and I always talk about switching to something else as we fish, but we never seem to do it.  We have both been working on this Pig and Jig thing...so far we each have a bite.
