5-12-17, Cedar

Took the fly rod out (4wt) before the rains.

Slow action, seems that there's a lot of guarding going on. Caught a decent BG and bass.

Then strayed a bit (moved another 100 yds west and hooked into a nice red ear!

I'll call it at 10.5"!

Next cast resulted hooking a big bass (for the 4wt anyway) but he got off at the shore as I moved to get him...no way to lift it with the small rod....aargh!


Time to go fishin' again!
