2008 Custom-Built James River Jet 1760 with Evinrude E-Tec 90/65

A friend of mine is selling this....

------------------------------------------------------

OK, this really hurts a lot. But I have to sell my boat because we are making plans to move back to Minnesota. Up for sale is my 2008 custom-built James River Jet 1760 (Rhino Jet) with a 2008 Evinrude E-Tec 90/65. This thing runs shallower than many other jets that I have seen. And since we had our baby in January 2011, I have not used the boat much. It surely has less than 50 hours on it.

SPECS:

1760 Rhino Jets hull with custom-cut tunnel by Jim Starkey at James River Jets
.125" aluminum on bottom
1/8-inch UHMW plastic glued on the bottom (no holes drilled in this hull! --- the glue holds like concrete)
2008 Evinrude E-Tec fuel injected two-stroke 90/65 (excellent two-stroke hole shot, and runs almost as quiet as a four stroke!)
12-gallon inboard fuel tank
Water separation filter on the fuel line (5 extra filters provided)
Center console with steering wheel, grab bar, RPM gauge, engine and oil lights, and switches for livewell, depth finder, running lights, & bilge pump
Tinted plexiglass windshield
Suicide knob on steering wheel allows for one-handed, *super fast* steering (I would go up against stick steering boats any day!)
101 lb thrust Minnkota trolling motor
36-volt battery bank in bow
Minnkota inboard charger
Livewell
Tempress Seats (recently new, top-of-the-line, SUPER comfortable)
Cabela's Signature Series Pro Pedestal Seat on the bow
Eagle 320C depth finder
Rod Saver rod holders on the sides
18-pound anchor with line
Running lights
Bilge pump
Custom travel cover (this was $600 new)
Load-Rite trailer with rollers, brakes, and spare tire
Mechanically maintained and in good working order

This whole package cost me $22,631 in September 2008. I am asking $14,900. I will do demo runs for serious buyers within 3 hours of Washington, DC. Contact Tim at tbromel (at) yahoo (dot) com or call 7034758083.

Geez!  You scared the pants off me.  I didn't read that little first sentence about this being for your friend.  So the first line I read was that you were selling your boat and moving to Minnesota!!!

Recovered now.....that sounds like a nice boat.

Glad you are sticking around Ernie.

Minnesota or the boat?

Looking back, I should have bought Tim's boat. Ran into him a couple of years ago at Cheng's Asia House in Chantilly. And yes, Louis Chang is the best when it comes to "oriental" food, as he calls it.

It's nice having an outboard jet in our area, because of the close proximity to the Algonkian launch.  They are lots of fun to fish and explore the river in.  I wish they would fix that boat ramp a bit though, it can get really shallow and has lots of muck to get stuck in.

That said, it's still very nice to have so close to home. When it gets too shallow, I always have the option of launching my jet at Occoquan, which is another great area to fish in that type of boat.
