Virginia Beach 4/8

Sorry for the late report, been in Florida for a few days.

Ran down to the VB area Friday night and had the yak in the water by 9pm. Slow fishing for the first few hours but eventually I found a couple schoolie stripers, then some tailor blues, and then finally a few speckled trout up to 23". Jig and plastic caught the most fish. Pulled out at 4am and headed home for some sleep. The end tongue

Wow that is dedication. How far offshore do you go, or is it a bay area? Keep the trout for eating?

Thanks guys.

In Spring and Fall I fish for specks in inlets and rivers. In Summer I fish grass flats up the bay. They aren't my favorite fish to eat but I know a lot of people who really like them so I usually keep some to give away. This time I kept 2 trout to give to some friends and released everything else.
