Thats a nice bag for Beaverdam! What depth were they hanging at? What was the water temp? I went out today and didnt get a single bite. I think I'm doing it wrong!

I catch most of my fish there on rattle traps, jigs and drop shots this time of year.

I went out for about an hour on Saturday and managed one LM that went 2.5 pounds on a Carolina rigged brush hog.  Water temp was 58 out deeper and 62 back in the creeks.  Extremely clear water for what I've experienced on that lake.

I'm game to meet up sometime if you want.

Sunday I was throwing a trap, texas worm (my go to), texas senko, and had a jig tied on but I have never caught anything on it. I saw a bunch of traces on my sonar that looked to be suspended but not sure what they were. surface temp was reading 64.4 in deeper water and I saw as high as 68 up really shallow. Saw lots of Carp jumping around, but didn't see any spawning action of them or Bass. Have the bass already spawned or are they getting ready to? I would love to meet up and get some advice! I'll shoot you an email.

Bass have not spawned yet.  No beds as of Sunday, but will not be long.

Re: Beaverdam Easter Piggy

a few lakes by me, the bass and blue gill are on beds already. every body of water is different. they're all getting pretty close to spawning though. late pre-spawn, early spawn.

Re: Beaverdam Easter Piggy

Yeah they're definitely getting to it. I fished a local lake after work yesterday and caught a big girl who was cruising around the shallows. Not on a bed yet but she was full of eggs and looking for love smile

That's a very nice fish in the OP. I like the scale too.
