Got out for a solo trip in search of big LM. Beautiful, but cold morning with red sunrise. Fished a protected cove that produces this time of year. I was the only one there for about half the day. Started out well with 8 fish in the first hour or so. Third one was a chunky 3+ that hit a Havoc Rocket Craw on one of Hookups jigs. Looks nice in the early morning sunlight.
The rest were small. Lots of activity and hits, but seemed to be dinks. This was very unusual for this place. The water was much clearer than I thought it would be after the rain we had this week and the tide was not optimal.
After the initial activity, I moved around and tried different things, but did not have much luck. I ended up with one more decent fish on the Rocket Craw in the afternoon.
I caught 11 fish on the craw, tube (1), crankbait (1), jacks worm (2) and chatterbait (1). Air started in the 30's and went up to lower 50's. Little wind, which was nice. Great day to get out.

Nice! I like those quiet mornings where it is just you in the middle of nature hunting for fish.
