November buck - not for the squeemish

This one kept hiding behind a tree and would not give me a heart/lung shot.  Decided for an eye shot at 50-60 yards........in one and out the other..........very big body, but not so impressive horns (tall but not wide).

Eye shot??? You're deadly with the rod and the rifle!

Together we'll fight the long defeat.

Nice shot!  That's a Carlos Hatchcock situation.  Very nice looking buck....it all eats well regardless of the horns.  I'm hoping to get out there after the holiday season.  I'm stuck with work travel and family. ughhh!
270 or 30-06?  Looking at this picture again....that is a flat level shot.  very impressive sir!
