9-7-15, a far away place plus a yak review!

I drove 106 miles (one way) to meet Bob so we could get to a little known perch honey hole.

Oh...and that required paddle (peddle for Bob) of 1.1 miles.

The 12 inchers eluded us but I did get this nice 11.75 incher.

Bob got a few over 11" and a couple of stripers.

I caught about 15 WP plus 2 speckled trout, the bigger one slipped out of my hand but I did get this shot.

We figured we could catch some fish outside the creek and we got zippo.

Without question, white perch fishing if off this year.

But...it was a great day to be out despite the long drive....

Today, I used my new to me Jackson Cruise which is a 12 footer. It is 2" wider than my OK Prowler 13. While not as fast, this boat is very stable and moves nicely using my new to me (from George) carbon fiber paddle. The key is the seat....VERY comfortable. I like this yak....

Wow that is awesome! That place looks super fishy. I'm at work today, laboring in honor of labor sad

I hope you are getting some major comp time! Or lots of money!

Yes sir....HUGE bonus! No traffic getting there and only one accident on 495 which delayed things 20 minutes. Could have been really bad out....

To whom it may concern.... Ernie earned every fish and pic today. That beautiful creek is almost at the southern end of MD.

Yep....once you smoke your arms paddling there.

Bob mentioned how quiet it was. Very peaceful.

We saw a huge hawk and a gorgeous eagle as well.

I am excited to see ANY pics of speckled trout! Last winter really did a number on them.

Thanks for the report!

That's the Mike Black special.....Bob and I have bought a few over the years. Hammered blades are the key!
