July 12th Capt Dave Report
Tonight's trip was fun. It had a mission. Ron wanted to get his two adult sons out together with dad, hang out and have fun. First time for three on the boat. It went very well. Not a lot of fish caught but, the mission was accomplished. These three must have made 1500 casts combined. No wasted time. Cast, cast, cast... At one point Ron said that this is why it was called fishing and not catching. Tommy said that he'd like to go catching. Tommy boated the only two bass. We had a snakehead follow and one snakehead hit and miss, one bluegill and believe it or not, one shad on a Pop R. We saw lots of schools of snakehead fry. Listening all night to two brothers and a father banter was quite enjoyable

Some of those blue and orange curls would make a nice Pop-R terminal treble!

I was thinking the same thing, the best lure stayed in the boat.
