I met up with John and our guide, Ed Keller, at Snyder's ramp. Rats....huge tree fell on the ramp from Monday's storm. No way to launch and the tree crew had just arrived.

So off to Taylor's Landing we go....

....no problems here so off we go!

But....as we moved down river, trolling motor started to act up but it was quickly remedied as was the stink off the boat!

I quickly followed suit!

Fish were small but feisty.

We picked them off here and there for a total of about 2 dozen.....slow was the operative word. We knew they were there but no aggression. Many of mine were caught by simply leaving the lure (one of Hookup's jigs) in the water naturally. Fish on as I picked it up. Of course, using ML tackle made it sporty!

John had a nice musky bait (fall fish).

Then...the trolling motor over heated and we called it a day early.

We are definitely going back in the fall to look for the bigger ones.

Good times despite the setbacks...but you know that stuff happens if you own a boat.

Gorgeous day!

Time to go fishin' again!

I've heard a ton of reports of slow fishing on the local rivers this year. Hope it picks up soon.

Thanks for the report and pics!
