best place to buy minnows near Ashburn?

Not aware of anyone in Loudoun that sells them. Last place that did......closed about 7 years ago.

I know someone who used to go to the pet store and buy the ones people feed to their bigger fish, but I think that is expensive.

The only place in all of NOVA I know of is Fountainhead. Pretty far from Ashburn.

Possibly an alternate solution is to buy a minnow trap, looks like a mesh cylinder with inverted cones at each end with a small opening, (~15-$20 on Amazon, local stores may carry them too) and bait with pretty much anything (a cut up hot dog, other people put a small open can of cat food inside) and you will catch your own almost anywhere. Some of them are collapsible if storage space is a concern.

I swear that store at the corner of evergreen mill and gum spring store sold minnows-but I havnt been there in years

New owner a few years back and stopped selling minnows...............
