12:00 p.m.: Horn blows and fishing ends on Alder Lake.
At this point, everyone must go to the registration table to turn in their measurements. While you eat some hot dogs and burgers, the scores will be tabulated and the winners will then be announced. Then the raffle will start.
Directions
The registration table will be in the backyard (21317 Comus Ct.) of our Vice President’s house, Brett Rojas. The easiest place to park will be along Cheltenham Circle between Cedar and Beech Lake.
If you are coming from Waxpool Rd., make a turn on to Ashburn Village Boulevard, and then make a left on to Cheltenham Rd. Follow this road (just past Felicity) until you see white picket fences. There will be a lake on both sides. The lake on the left is Cedar Lake which is where the registration table is going to be. If you are coming from Rt.7, make a turn onto Ashburn Village Boulevard. Then take a right on to the second Cheltenham entrance and follow the above directions.
If you have any questions about the directions, tournament or the club in general, please contact me.

What level of support can we as adults provide? How many volunteers do you require? Do we want to use sanctioned rulers (e.g. Goldenrule)?
Just as a point of reference, for fish measuring, your are correct on the mouth being closed, but you can pinch the tail as well.
Depending upon the number of fisherman involved, do we want to consider distance parameters between anglers? For example, no fishing on top of another angler who you just saw catch a 3lb bass!!

Adult volunteers are much appreciated. We would love for adults to help out kids by giving them advice ("slow down that presentation"). Coz: I am not sure about what type of rulers they are, but Charlie Taylor said he had some we could borrow.
Adults already signed up:
Ernie Rojas
Charlie Taylor
John "Curly" Casale
Paul Najdzin
Patrick
Joshua Turner
Send me a email if you would like to help or post that you would.
Thanks!

Hey Charlie, I'm there as well.

I like the idea of helping by demonstrating...count me in for now. My in-laws will be visiting from Sweden and that will be towards the end of their trip. I might need some "fresh air"!

BTW - I have a couple of walky-talkies if we may benefit from using them for coordination purposes during the event.

Charlie - You may want to consider organizing a pre-tournament meeting for you and the adults to run through the activities, prizes, timetable, etc. This will allow you to put forth the best planned effort possible. Also, my name is Patrick.

We will definatley have another pre tourney meeting. We already had one (Ernie, Charlie, Charlie Taylor and Paul).
I think this will be a great event if Charlie can get some students to participate. I also suggested to him that he have a club meeting at the school featuring either John Odenkirk (if we can get him) or one of you guys!

I will definitely get to planning another meeting before September rolls around and things get real busy.
