Those pickerel guys call them pickles......maybe sweet?

I am thinking about pickling this Saturday too (from shore though), but man those temperatures... Especially in early AM.

I am in cold shock.....was going to take a 5 mile walk at lunch but I think my NordicTrack is calling my name. Nice and warm and get to watch fishing shows on TV while I sweat.

I wish I had been in the boat while you fought that thing, it was probably a great show!

Congrats on the great fish, Ernie!

It was quite the show....many runs.  I never thought I was going to get that beast in.

Were you hooting and hollering or silent with concentration?

Totally attentive and silent. It was mesmerizing. I also know that they tend to spit the hook when they jump.

But....once we got it under control, the adrenaline rush was enough that I didn't need to let it all out. I was amazed by what had just happened.

Wow! Ernie!

What a perfect report to read on a day this cold! I was dreaming through your pictures and longing for the warm weather and then to see that awesome smile on your face! Priceless is an understatement!

So happy for ya bro! I know sometime people say that's once in a life time, but I pray a long life for you my friend to have many more experiences like that! smile
