Double Catfish Report 10-4

Started at noon to get the incoming tide and went to the first spot. The depth finder was filled with good marks so we stopped and put out 10 lines real quick. Helps when the crew knows the routine and they all help. Just like that in 20 minutes we get cleaned and land one decent eater. Lots and lots of dinks cleaning our hooks for us. Pack up and run to a monster cat spot. No fish and wind really gets the boat rocking so we move again to a sheltered edge. Tide is moving right and sure enough the fish turn on after about an hour. Land some nice big ones but no monsters. Fill the cooler with eaters as well. Tide turns and we get a last minute bite just before heading in.

Considering the cold front and the winds we did well.

Wind,  wind,  wind.  Did I mention the wind.  A few decent fish in the beginning and then eaters all day long. This was a meat hunting trip and we filled the cooler. (though a little shy of the 54K pounds per person limit)   Four family members from Steeler country and they were fun all day.
