Went out before dinner to one of the ponds. Tied on a massive blue/black P&J with a huge trailer. Got to a spot that usually holds big fish. Dropped the P&J about 10 feet past my target and let it settle for a while. Slowly worked it to the structure and paused. Next twitch resulted in a tap. Set the hook and it was ON ! Thought that I had a big snapping turtle at first, but then it was obvious it was a big bass. She came up top and thrashed back and forth the entire time. Another fisherman from about 100 yds away came running over. Finally got her to the shore and she was massive......21-1/4 inches and 6.25 lbs.
One more pic for scale..........and I'm not holding it out towards the camera.
My biggest bass in 3 years .
Big bass are biting again..............finally!

Great catch! For movie goers there's "Dumb and Dumber". For Curly there's Big and Bigger. And if there's a Biggest...I know who will find it.
