8-2-14 Alder Lake Report

Went and did some fishing with the kids at Alder lake.  The kids had the fish in a barrel experience with all kinds of pan fish.  They ranged from tiny to big fatties.  Over the course of 2 hours they pulled in about 20 each.  My oldest caught a couple of the smallest LMBs I've ever seen, the smallest about 2 inches!  All on worms and a bobber...

I caught a few LMB using a small minnow swimmer that was a saltwater lure picked up on a trip in Florida.

Here's a pic of the biggest...

Your looking a little pale.  Need to get out in the sun more.

And what's with that blank expression.  you just caught a nice fish.  Smile!

HA HA!  Just kidding.  I couldn't resist.

Most people blank out the surrounding area so you can't tell where they caught the fish.  I think you mixed that up. big_smile big_smile big_smile

That's a birthmark an I don't appreciate the teasing... Nah, really, the veil of secrecy is because my wife is very protective about what gets posted online and doesn't want anything particularly identifying posted.  She agreed that I could post pics as long as faces were removed.  I, of course, agreed.

On at trip to NY this weekend.  Going to give a shot at some fishing off the North Shore of LI (just some surf casting). I'll report back later.

Yep.  I completely understand.  My wife was the same way when the kids were younger.
