We made the DNR weekly fishing report!
My son and I had a phenominal afternoon last Sunday on a local farm pond. The drill was to use the 3wt fly rod with a bluegill popper, attach a dropper to a #18 PT nymph and catch bluegill two at a time sometimes. We both loved catching the bait but that's what they were really for. Bait. The best bait of all. We caught numerous large bass, two we didn't see that were "the one that got away" and a lunker that got us into the weekly DNR report.
