Point of Rocks Saturday AM

Thinking about heading to POR Saturday morning for a Yak float.  Try my luck at smallies for the first time this year.  Anyone want to join?

Sorry, don't have a yak.  Water is rising, so watch the gauges.  Supposed to hit 5.3 foot by Friday.

I crossed Broad Run around 11 today (on the WOD, before the rain) and it was fast, furious and muddy. I am sure it is a real mess by now.....

Ha, yeah it isn't looking too promising.  I was thinking of maybe finding a reservoir or some other type of non-moving water

Beaverdam is close by..........maybe we can borrow one of the sculls and you can direct it. tongue Lost opportunity for sure!mad

There is always Lake Anna but school is out and the boat traffic will be heavy.

smile  I should just sign up to coach there and fish during practice!  What about Tridelphia?  I heard there are Pike and Walleye in there which gets me excited from my Michigan days

Just looked at the forecast for POR for tomorrow. Water is supposed to peak at mid-morning at about 11 feet. WAY TOO HIGH for safe boating.

Re: Point of Rocks Saturday AM

I would love to go fishing this weekend if someone wants to go.  Not sure where but should be fun.  Sundays conditions look better as far as wind and my kayak are concerned.

You'll need a WSSC permit to fish at Triadelphia. Have you been seeing the posts on snaggedline.com? They have been doing really well there!

Together we'll fight the long defeat.

I agree that Sunday looks better at this point...  just not sure where to go given all the rain.
