farm pond

Well I caught a bunch of keepers tonight.
I take a green pumpkin senko and nose hook it with a gamakatsu finesse hook.
They wanted it swimming, so I work it like a snake.
I throw it on 4# line and a crappie weight ultralight rod.
I like this rig because it is versatile.
I can switch to wacky, or just vary retrives until they tell me what is good.
Go deep,shallow,high,low, fast, slow-whatever...
Then the light rig helps get bites in clear watsr, and makes fot good sport.

Just have to retie often

Re: farm pond

That's neat, I'll have to try that. Thanks for sharing!

Together we'll fight the long defeat.
