Threw the fly in the late afternoon and caught a small grunt, a lady fish and a teeny 'cuda. Nice tussle with the barracuda......
Pictures later including some incredibly relaxing sunset shots (real reason we came down to KL for a couple of days).
May get another shot at whetting a line on Saturday.

Can't wait for those pictures!

We took a boat cruise on the Intercoastal on Saturday but we only fished for a few minutes.
Joe caught a jack and a small 'cuda plus he lost a snook before he could land him.
I only had 2 bites. One was something very big because he busted my line. The way he cruised out makes me think it was a ray. Broke off a $12 lure.

Back in VA...we landed and were greeted with a snow squall. Nice...really nice!
Here are a bunch of pictures for your viewing pleasure. We'll start with a little Cuban food...
Key Largo.....
Jupiter...
Snack Shack!
Saw this guy, a 35' Scout, while we were at lunch!

I think it is pretty neat that you are afforded these opportunities. Thank you for sharing them with us

Sunshine, warmth, shorts and short sleeves, blue skies, and as a bonus...fishing and fish! I'm so jealous.

I am very fortunate to have lots of family down that way (mom, 2 brothers, sister, uncle/aunt) and some friends. Unfortunately, my brothers don't fish much....
Mike (the guy I fished with on the 2nd) will be stationed down there for 1 1/2 more years so that is a great incentive for me to get some quality fishing in with him. He already wants to go again, to the Everglades next time, so I need to oblige.
