Very low tide. Muddy. 4 to 6"  visibility.
Caught 1 nice crappie 12" and fat, I short crappie, both on 1/16 Shad tube.
Time and patience will still catch fish there

Because the tide can swing the water level three feet
in a day, that portion of the river  slow to freeze
The Marinas drop bubblers to further retard ice.
Muddy water alao helps in my view

I was only passing thru, and took an hour or so to discreetly ply my trade.
I miss that place.
like so many spots, a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch
