I know a winery, tiny pond_like killawog, but mucho d fish....so I get to crankbaiti.g yesterday, and absolutely rang them up for two hours. Most are about 14", but on 4# line etc, it makes for satisfying fishing. Polarized glasses, could see them following it in and taking swings

I went back Saturday. The ice was gone, the water up and a little cloudy.
I had2labor a bit.....tying knots in,the wind, working different baits.
It was a clumsy affair.sometimes a hint of agitation simply expands throughout the outing.
So I retract, repeated ly , untangling a twist,undoing a
crazy, collateral snag or accepting the loss of a new 6d bait in less than,a dozen casts

But I managed four decent bass a few ticks shy of 2#'seach. I do enjoy crankbaiting in the winter

It is all mental. I think Winter fishing is easier than dog day summer daylight fishing
