9-24-13, Cedar BG's were snapin'!

Had a few minutes at lunch time....brought out 1 rod (4wt) and one beat up fly.

The BG's were hitting every other cast. Put on a show for the construction crew that was working on the path. They could not believe I was catching so many and throwing them back.

Many dozens caught....no ruler or scale but I bet a few were over 8"!

Fish seem to grow nicely in the Village. You need to start a white perch stocking program (catch and release, of course).

Believe it or not, I have caught a white perch in Cedar. They are not there any more once the lake was drained 12-13 years ago. I know that someone put a few in there. He was a well known percher and had been known to put white perch in a certain lake in Fairfax too.
