8-30 Rockfish scouting

Bruce and I were fishing by 6:15 am and almost immediately pick up this 17" striper.

We proceed to catch several blue cats after that.............and then we notice some water in the boat at our feet.  Turn on the bilge pump and it runs and runs.  We go back to the ramp, pull the boat out, but cannot find anything causing the leak.  We put back in the water and run the bilge every 5-10 minutes or so with what appears to be a slow leak of some sort.  We go back to fishing a catch several more cats and loose a very small striper next to the boat.  One of the cats was about 30 lbs.........

We call it a day around 10 am.  After we pull the boat out, I found the leak.............cracked PVC going to the live well pump.  I move it a little more and it snaps off completely.  Capped it this afternoon because it will need a marine mechanic to replace it through the transom.  Just cannot use the live well for a while.

At least we didn't sink........ lol
