$20 launch fee at Hope Springs is a little steep, but Jeff C and I were on the water by 6:30 am. Fishing was very slow.......I only had 4 hits that were hookups and Jeff only had one hit that did not get his mouse good. All my hits were on a white mouse. First fish was a 2-8 LMB.
About an hour later.....a 2-7 LMB
Then a 3 lb snakehead.
Last fish was a 27".......6 lb 4 oz snakehead. It cleared the water by about 2 feet during the fight and was beastly until we got him into the net.
Then we got rained on.............a lot starting around 10 am. We called it a day around 11:30.
All fish were caught deep in the pads.

I love the way they launch out of the water.....nice work!
You should try Mattingly Park (Slavins) on the Upper Mattawoman......$5 ramp fee and roughly the same distance as Hope Springs.

If you can't catch one at the Mattawoman, don't be blaming me......
