Most of them wanted a black slow sinking bug (I think this is one that Bob's dad had made) but after 2-3 dozen of them, I lost the fly in the tree.
I then went to a dry fly and caught a few but the top water bite is still a few days away. Lots of fry in the shallows! Plus a dead turtle....
All of the fish were over 7" except 2 of them. They wore me out (I was using a 7.5' 3wt).
Great fun though....all the qualifying fish were the 8' cookie cutter type except for one that went 8.25" for a total of 40.25".

Nice....I talked to a young man yesterday and he told me he was fishing with his dad last week. His dad caught a big bass, big enough to put his fist in the mouth. Weapon of choice was a Mickey Mouse rod!
Let me know when you are coming.

I was at Franklin Park yesterday & some little cutie pie w/ a barbie rod was smoking all the boys and their Dads in the park's pond. She was in a cloud screaming DADDY, GOT ANOTHER ONE while the boys & Dads couldn't buy a bite. Great stuff!
