Alder Fishing on Sunday Afternoon

Did the walk around Alder on a sunny Sunday afternoon.  The algae is down, the water was clear, and the fish are waking up . . . the bluegill are plentiful and voracious.  However, my quarry was LMB, and I managed to find a few along the shoreline.  Used a Zoom dear ringer in watermelon green.  Managed to land nine, with about three over a pound.  The biggest was around 15" (need to find that ruler) and pretty hefty.  It was nice not to have to clean algae after every cast.
