finally made it over this afternoon.
tide was very high
started out quickly with a 14" bass.
then i struggled for two hours
at 3.30 the tide finally flipped
i was able to locate a nice school of crappie
it pays to have a small boat sometimes
it was game on for about an hour_with nice 9-12" crappie hitting constaNTLY
it is amazing how heavy crappie can stack up
i pulled out around five pm, feeling like i found what i was looking for...

IT WAS BACK ON TODAY
took a little work, but it turned out well
same routine
any place other than there and i would have been ecstatic
as it was, it was just fine

all the wind of late, i suppose, has whipped up the river. water is pretty muddy down there.
crappie can still be had, but size seems to be way down here lately'
bites can be tough to get, but they are there if you work at it.

I'd like to get out there in the boat again for crappie/YP in the next week, but the temps forecast looks bad................
