Occoquan

finally made it over this afternoon.

tide was very high

started out quickly with a 14" bass.

then i struggled for two hours

at 3.30 the tide finally flipped

i was able to locate a nice school of crappie

it pays to have a small boat sometimes

it was game on for about an hour_with nice 9-12" crappie hitting constaNTLY

it is amazing how heavy crappie can stack up

i pulled out around five pm, feeling like i found what i was looking for...

Re: Occoquan

all the wind of late, i suppose, has whipped up the river. water is pretty muddy down there.

crappie can still be had, but size seems to be way down here lately'

bites can be tough to get, but they are there if you work at it.

Re: Occoquan

I'd like to get out there in the boat again for crappie/YP in the next week, but the temps forecast looks bad................
