Big Bronze Beaverdam
I got started around 4:30pm and went looking for perch. First I found some bluegill with the bitsy minnow. Then the first cast of a 1/8oz blade bait I got this channel cat. 
Then I started catching some perch and another cat.
Then I headed to the other side of the reservoir to check out another perch spot. But before getting there I fished a flat that has been good to me. It seems to be the smallie hotspot too. I put on a black/blue rage tail craw and it wasn't long before I hooked up with this.
Then on the way back, trolling a bitsy minnow and blade bait, I got some more perch and a 10" smallie.

Some beautiful fish! I'll be out on the water in a few weeks once I buy my kayak. What kind do you have? I really need to learn the good spots on Beaverdam, I'm over there all the time. Any idea if that wound on the smallies tail was from you? maybe a turtle or something.

Some sort of bleeding ulcer-like sore on it. Other large smallies I've caught there have had sores too.
