Got some critters today.....

One of my biggest concerns for Cedar Lake is shore erosion. Some of it is caused naturally and these guys are also guilty....

But not any more! These guys were trapped at Alder.

Not to mention that they nearly caused a heart attack a couple of times . . . the big bull frogs are one thing, but I never liked it when one of these varmints would pop up right next to where I was casting.

Re: Got some critters today.....

I was at Alder and Cedar today.  Muskrats were very active this afternoon.  Saw a big one in Alder up by the intake where she has a den, and 2 muskrats in Cedar across from the Nutwell’s house with 2 active dens there too.  The dens are easy to spot..........muddy trail in the water coming out from under the shoreline.  Saw all three taking branches and debris to their dens.........sounds like there will be lots of muskrat babies soon.
