A pictoral (and some editorial) on the erosion issue at Cedar Lake

Living on Cedar, I have been noticing an accelerated erosion of the shore line especially on the east and south shores. Below is pictorial with some comment.

What's causing it? Can't all be from the muskrats.

Some of it is muskrats....but most of it is from wind (IMHO) and a weak shoreline. Cedar especially has little wind protection. The other lakes are downwind and lower.

that bank needs a bulkhead

or rip rap

trimming doesnt help either
