Definately #1 and #4. Surprized not to see you out there again today in the snow !

#1 and #4 are the same fish.
i seriously considered getting out, but i am just not as into it as i once was.
i dont know how tournament anglers take it, physically or mentally.
also, every outing seems to necessitate a trip to the tackle aisle.
sometimetimes i look at my box and wish for all that money back
my friend has 20times the tackle I do, plus the Ranger etc
he's got 150k in it easily
i would shudder to see a 'cost per outing' breakdown of his hobby
often times i catch more in local waters anyway

I use the same basic 5 lures all the time, but have a bag full of blue/black P&Js.
My costs to fish the AV Lakes/day = $2.50 per jig lost.......avg 2-3 lost/week.
My costs to boat fish the Potomac = $20-25/day that includes all truck and boat gas. Boat was paid off 20 years ago .

i agree
keep it simple
but i get to that tackle aisle and start dreaming
thank goodness bass pro shops is far enough away that i dont go in there

I have picked up jigs at flea markets, online etc at a fraction of the cost of a store. Of course, I don't use 'em much.
Regardless, I have waaaaaaaaaaaay too much tackle. I have enough flies to start my own shop.
