11-28-11, 30 minute Cedar bite...on the fly!

At lunch time, I took the 6wt out for some much needed casting (and maybe for a few bites). The weather was perfect.....I wish it would just stay this way but I know I am dreaming.

At 1st, I threw a bead headed woolly (white) but I broke it off. I then put on the trusty black w/green ersatz bead headed woolly on a #10 hook.

That was the ticket....2 quick strips, a pause and a strike!

Caught 5-6 of these....

Yep....almost like summertime.....the others were not as pretty.

The crappie had been eating....

That's a healthy looking bluegill! Cedar has always had nice chunky gills that put up great fights on ultralights.
