Thursday Report

Storms with major lightning and heavy rain passed north and south of us today. We found a good patch of Potomac Pike and even some of those pesky LGMouth. All caught on top. It was a good trip again..

Re: Thursday Report

We had a blast.......and thanks for the light show. Traffic was a bear on 495 (we are still on the road) but Paul and I are still talking about the trip. I will post some pics tomorrow.

Re: Thursday Report

It certainly looked ominous but Capt. Mike had a plan and we stuck with it. We hunted for NSH while our good Capt. poled us into the wild, shallow, fishy areas. Getting into really skinny water is key, as many who have caught these guys know.

Paul had several ferocious blowups including one short hook up. His (Paul) eyes lit up as did mine!

The fish I caught followed my frog while under the grass and them came through it right under my nose. He took the bait with vengeance and headed right back down to the grass. Thankfully, I had a good MHF stick loaded with 35lb braid. To say that I let out a yelp would be an understatement! What a thrill...I want more, many more.

Re: Thursday Report

I am assuming this is your first NSH. If so, congrats on your very first snakehead Ernie!!!

Re: Thursday Report

Dan- the follow was very similar to the one you had on the 12th except he came out of the grass in my plain view....
