Goose Creek on the Fly - 06/09/11

Managed to escape out for about an hour so I decided to use the fly rod for some smallies at Goose Creek. I landed a few small bluegill and a nice smallie. I will post the picture soon. The fishery looks healthy and I saw some good fish in there today.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

My dad and i also went to Goose creek yesterday for the first time just to try it out. We had a lot of fun and caught about 6-7 little Rock bass and i caught a 8-9 inch LMB. We caught all of them on a small beetle spin. I was hoping to catch a smallie but no luck. where were u on goose creek? what did you catch the smallie on?

Ty- I wonder if those rock bass (red eyes) you caught aren't really smallies...next time take a picture. I don't recall there being rock bass in the Goose but I could be wrong.

This is what came up when i searched rockbass on google and the ones i caught looked exactly like this. I can clearly remember the red eyes and how they fade from top to bottom black to white.

OK I fish the Goose at least twice a week and I cannot figure out where that pic was taken.  Not that I'm trying to steal spots (I've fished almost everywhere from the rt 7 bridge to the mouth) but this is driving me crazy.  Oh well, c'est la vie...

Oh come on, that's an easy one. There are only two places in the areas with riffles/runs like that. Only one of them has a pebble shore opposite of a trail.

Sorry if that is too much Patrick

I agree with Dan...the hand is hiding the clue.

I private messaged Basscrusher. No worries on hiding the clue. Ernie's cousins have it pretty well scoped out.
