One of my dogs was barking out the back door Sunday morning about 8:30. I look out and there is an 8-point buck chasing a big doe around in our common area. He was not giving up. It will be over in 10 days.............

I came home last night to see some buck had his way with one of my oak trees.. Not sure if it is going to survive. The road kill really has been stacking up on 50 and belmont ridge the last few days. Not to state the obvious, but it is going to be a good weekend in the woods...

That was probably a good sized buck, gauging the size of that tree and the rub on it.

I caught this guy last year one morning after that first snow as he was "sneaking" back across the street between the houses. With another year of eating tasty phosphors and calcium enriched plants from everyone's home and he might be bruiser this year. He looks like a real young deer this picture, skinny, no gut yet, long legs etc...
