Beaverdam, water is low, pics

Took a few pics of beaverdam today, it is probably about 5 feet lower then normal. i would suggest if you like fishin this place you take some paper and a pencil and make some notes.  i found tons of good places the bass will be hangin out come cool weather.
if you know the reservoir, this is me standing just past the rocks that prevent cars from going closer.  at normal water levels, my toes would be wet.

This is the coast if you go out and to the left, if you head down you will see the last cove on the left, this is along that whole coast before you enter cove. you can see the grass lines in the back that are usually the coast.

Awesome pics! The best places I know out there were discovered doing the same thing you are. Take special note of the areas with those large boulder fields, and the adjacent dropoffs next to them. Especially the ones in areas protected from northwest winds. They are very, very good places to fish in the spring wink

Re: Beaverdam, water is low, pics

I need to swing by BDR to check it out. Haven't fished there in quite some time.

What baits are folks throwing to get down deep to the structure? Weighted texas rigged soft plastics? Deep diving crank baits? Heavy jigs? Just curious what's been working for folks here. Thanks.

I've had the deeper ones biting rage baby craws on a jig head.

I had some pretty good luck on lipless cranks, when with a chrome colored (cant remember the name, my bro calls em football lures).  had a monster get off at the boat. would have been pb by far....we got 6 or so on saturday, all on some flavor of baitfish lures.

Looks like the water might not be low for much longer.  Calling for 4-5" of rain on Thursday for our area.
