9/26 Scouting report

I took some time on the 26th to get out and do some scouting.  The chestnut oaks are raining down huge acorn right now, to the point I wish I had a hard hat on.  The ground was just covered in most areas.  Despite the dry spring and summer, they picked up enough water from the winter I guess.  I jumped a handful including 2 bucks that were running together but couldn't make out what size their headgear was.  I found one scrape and three fresh rubs.  So not too much in the way of buck sign yet, but it is a little early still and I'm sure they are putting on the lbs right now.  I figure not too bad for just a quick hour in and out of the woods I guess.  Should have stayed longer and missed the redskins game.

I have learned to watch the Redskins by the "Cliff Notes" manner.

If they win, they will show a TON of highlights through the evening news/sports shows.

If they lose....I didn't miss a thing!

Time to go fishin' again!
