Tried again today and only 4 punky bass on a CB.  Saw Patrick out there and the Gator flags all over his car.  Gators had another slow start today.

Slow start, strong finish. We're ready for the SEC!

I landed four with the biggest going about 14in. All on a jig. All shallow. Good to see you Curly and I saw Ernie cruising by on his bike. Knees look good!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

Re: The Hunt for the Pavilion Pig Continues............

Tried again at Pavilion, hoping the pig might be putting the feed bag on with the cooler weather.  Nope.....they all had lock jaw today.  Stopped by Cedar afterward and got another skunkaroo there too.

Re: The Hunt for the Pavilion Pig Continues............

Stopped by my two hot spots on the way home from work.  Picked up 4 punks total (<14") in deep water on a P&J.  That monster has to visit one of those spots at some point when I'm out there.  Both spots are perfect deep-cold water ambush locations.  I'm averaging 4-5 bass each 30-45 min trip, and includes a 5+ this week.  Just a matter of time smile .

Re: The Hunt for the Pavilion Pig Continues............

Stopped by again on the way home from work and bumped into Bart2Puck.  Now he knows one of my hot spots lol . He said that YakDog had already pulled a 4+ from the A lake this afternoon.  Anyway, I pulled 5 punk bass out today (and none from the "honey hole").  Also pulled this non-native fish out of Pavilion.

Definitely a tropical species someone dumped into the lake from their aquarium.  It's a bottom feeder with teeth.  It remains on the shoreline for a raccoon to feast on.

Re: The Hunt for the Pavilion Pig Continues............

Thats a common Plecostomus...a very common aquarium fish used to eat algae...good thing they cant survive here because they breed fast, dig deep and are eroding the banks away down in FL..

It's a Pleco.  I'm sure the water temp is already well lower than it's preferred range.  I wonder how low it can handle.

Re: The Hunt for the Pavilion Pig Continues............

Had a solid 5-6 pounder up to the shoreline this morning and it came unbuttoned as I was getting my glove off to lip it.  Will lip the next big one with the glove on.
