Yup, but Flatheads will absolutely not touch dead bait. Those guys are picky

What exactly is the DGIF definition of 'live' bait?  I haven't found a definition.  Natural vice artificial?  Was alive but now dead = OK ?  A perch doesn't live long once you run a hook through it in my experience.   The one my bass ate had been dead for over an hour.

I think live means a swimming minnow, etc. Cut bait, as coz mentioned, would not be live.

I am surprised a bass ate a dead perch
