Occoquan 6/5

My bro and I headed out to occoquan Saturday morning,  got there about 7am.  15 minutes in, we had 3 fish.  2 nice size crappy, and he caught a nice catfish. Then it got silent.  hours and hours of nothing. we threw everything possible. deep, top, worms, swimbaits, u name it, i threw it.  Water temperature was 81degrees, so Im guessing thats what the deal was.  towards late afternoon we were landing fish smaller then the lure we were using. other then the first 3 fish end of the day i think we ended up with 10 fish, for a total weight of about 1 pound.

Sounds like a summer pattern...

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

Re: Occoquan 6/5

for the most part we were hitting the shores where there was steep drop offs,  we would then go into the coves and come up skunked.  our fishfinder was spotting fish in the 10-12 feet range.
