CCA NOVA CHAPTER STRIPER/CROAKER TRIP, JULY 5, 2010

Time:                                    We will be departing the dock at 3:00pm.

Directions:                          Happy Harbor Marina is located in Deale, Md., approximately 30 miles east of Washington, D.C. From the Capital Beltway take Route 4 (Pennsylvania Ave.) east for approximately 11.5 miles to the Deale exit at Route 258.

Follow Route 258 east approximately 6 miles to a right turn on  Rockhold Creek Road (across from Park’s Liquors/Citgo).Follow Rockhold Creek Road south for approximately 1 mile and through the blinking light. The Happy Harbor Marina and Restaurant will be on your left. Parking is in the lot on your right, directly across Rockhold Creek Road from the Restaurant. Park at the far rear of the lot or you risk having your vehicle towed.

The Trip:                              This is planned as a combination trip. We will start by catching bait then live lining for stripers and finish up fishing for croakers. We plan to leave the dock at 3:00 pm and fish well into dark. Plan to be back at the dock between 10:00 and 11:00 pm. Please plan to arrive fifteen minutes early as the boat will leave the dock on schedule.  For those of you that have some extra time that afternoon, lets meet at the Happy Harbor Restaurant around 2:00 pm for a late lunch. Trip Cost:                             $87.00 per angler plus tip for the mate. This fee assumes that we have a minimum of eight anglers. If we have less than eight anglers, the cost will be higher.  Plan on cleaning your own fish.

What to bring:                  You are welcome to bring your own tackle. If you plan to take your catch home, bring a cooler.

Next, to hold your spot you need to send in your check made out to CCA-NoVa for $87.00, to George Lenard, 6834 General Longstreet's Line, Manassas, VA 20109. We need to have your check in hand by June 21, 2009 or you will lose your spot to the next person on the waiting list. Make your check payable to CCA-NoVa.
