Cedar 5/21

I started out at Beaverdam.  I was using my mini crankbait to see if I could get anything to bite.  One dink LMB got off, then I got one bluegill and eventually this other dink.

Then I headed over to Beech.  The mini crankbait got a bluegill which fell off as I lifted it out of the water.  Then I got my spinnerbait hung up in a tree.  So I got out the kayak so I could get it back.  The west end of Beech maxes out at 10ft, but generally about 8ft once you get out about 60ft from the end.   I figured since I had the kayak out I might as well put it in Cedar to check out the depths.   The drain area is 10ft and around the nearby aerator it was 15ft, the deepest I saw.  Seemed like several good size fish were swimming around below too.  Up in Ernie's cove it was 6ft and got gradually less the farther in you go.   The west part of it was only about 4ft in the middle.  It was 8-10ft around the fountain.

I decided to try the mini crankbait to see if the bluegills were biting.  First cast was towards the bank a couple houses over from Ernie's.  I started messing with something while it was sinking.  I picked up the slack and thought I had got caught up in the algae until it started fighting back some.

and this dink at the west end where I also saw some 4lbers swimming around.    I saw 4 or 5 different large koi swimming around too.
