Open Weekends for Fishing

The wife is going to busy three of the next four weekends which means aside from honey-do activities, I'll have plenty of time to fish.

Here are the free Saturdays and Sundays in May:

8-9, 22-23, 29-30

I am up for Beaverdam (borrowing a yak), Potomac (as a non-boater), a float (borrowing a yak), or even fishing from the shore which I have grown so accustomed to. Let me know if you need a fishing buddy!

I want to get out this weekend. I was thinking algonkian over the weekend if you're free and can get one of Ernie's yaks.

I was planning on a 30-40 mile bike ride this Saturday but Algonkian is a nice lure.....regardless, Patrick can use the green Prowler.

Re: Open Weekends for Fishing

Let me see what I can do about Algonkian this weekend. So far it shouldn't be a problem, I just need to figure out how to put the yak on top of my car without scuffing up my roof. Do you have a day that is better than the other?

Andrew - the weather on Saturday looks dicey at best. Perhaps we should target Sunday?

Re: Open Weekends for Fishing

Sure, we'll play it by ear. The last time I scheduled my fishing around the weather, I ended up not fishing a beautiful weekend.

I'll probably try and get out both days anyways.

I have a Giant OCR1 that I bought as a present to me when I had my knee replacement in '02. It's a great bike (road).....I stay on hard roads and trails since I can't do the mountain bike deal out of fear of breaking that knee (bad deal if that happens).

Re: Open Weekends for Fishing

I am almost positive that I am going to take my dad's boat out on Saturday to Algonkian until 1 or 2 to test out the trolling motor we put up front.  Let me know if anyone is interested in going...

Sounds good to me. I'll coordinate with Ernie to grab his extra yak.
