While Ernie, Charlie, and Andrew were fishing the WC for stripers today........Jeff and I were sitting in the woods waiting for a deer to walk by.  Not much after the sun came up, a nice 8 pointer walked by Jeff.  The end result......

I was on the other side of the woods and saw nothing.  We packed it in around 10 am, brought the deer home and processed it.  We went back out at 1pm.  It started pouring rain while we were in our stands.  Then, a spike buck and a doe came by me in the downpour.  I took the buck.

We each got a deer on opening day.  A great start to the season!  :
