Cedar Report - 03/10/2010

Walked around Cedar and I learned why Ernie is always cold. He was in shorts. I think he misses FL. Anyhow, I fished around and saw a good number of brim breaking the surface. I had a couple of bites, landed a small bass and enjoyed the weather. I also hooked into something huge, likely one of the coy because with a tail whip my rod was nearly pulled out of my hands. It shook off, but definitely jump started my adrenaline.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

I threw the fly in hopes of catching a crappie of blue gill but nothing for me except that I enjoyed my 45 minutes out there.

Mr. Rojas, what kind of fly do you usually use around this time of year, for crappie or blue gill?

Blue gill love spiders, ants etc. I have not caught many crappies. Wooly buggers always work.

Both.
