As usual, Captain Greg put us on the fish all day Friday. Walk-on crew of five (Doug, Ed, Eric, Isaiah, and Isaiah's Dad - Jude) and I think we had all had enough when the day was over (except maybe for Isaiah). Everybody caught 5 or 6 with the majority over 40 inches. Weather was unbelievable for November 20.
My largest (sorry for the links. Neither Ernie or I could figure out how to embed pictures from Picasa Web Albums on this site).

Isaiah's largest - he's 8. He caught 6 with most of them in this size range. Out fished his dad big time until the very last fish of the day.

Jude's biggest and big fish of the day. 45" and an incredible 47.5 pounds - huge for that length. It was his turn but no one else had the energy or strength to deal with that fish on the wwb line (450').

Doug- great report, i saw it on TF.....what a day!
I am not sure what the issue is. I tried to fix it but could not. Hopefully, someone else might know what the trouble is.

Nice fish......All of them. I wish my trip had been like that. By the way, did you ever figure out the starting problem with the iron head? Was it a bad starter or the cables going to the starter? Love the old Harleys. I sold my Shovelhead about 3 yrs ago..... MISTAKE!

Murphy's Law in action. Original battery was weak. When I used an external battery I made a poor connection. The original Ironhead starter setup is very weak - particularly when you put a hot cam and big, high compression pistons in the mix. Wound up with a new Odyssey gas mat (sealed) battery, a really good connection, and a new Tornado high torque starter with integral solenoid. Turns over like a bandit but it took me a long time (and $) to get all three problems fixed at once.
Old Harley's do rock.
