June 22nd Report

Heavy rain and thunderstorms where predicted to hit around 8 pm. Just enough time to get on some big fish and avoid lightning. First casts of the fly rods yielded and big white perch and a crappie. That is bad omen to catch a fish on first cast. But I ignored it. Light rain and persistent NNE   winds made fishing tough. Moved around a bit and caught a big bass on a Dalberg. MMMM .... I thought if only I could duplicate the same circumstances again it would be great. And I did again and again. Epic evening and lost count of fish caught lost and strikes. Had one or two snakehead pushes but they where pretty much shut down from the wind.
