Minnesota 5/28-6/8

Yesterday I returned home from my annual trip to Otter Tail County MN. I had a wonderful time visiting with family and fishing as much as possible. Weather wise this was probably the best trip I've ever had, it was upper 70s-mid 80s for the whole 2 weeks with barely a sprinkle of rain, and the wind was never more than a breeze. Fishing wasn't the best ever by any stretch, but I had several really good days and caught some quality bass and panfish. Last year the walleye bite was fantastic, this year it was nonexistent, I only caught 1 small eye on the whole trip. No biggie, they'll be there next year.

Just 50 more weeks til I get to go again...

Great weather and good fishing, sore thumbs up!  Hook in the finger, not so much.  The quality of fish there is fantastic!

I absolutely love fishing for the sunfish up there. They're large, beautiful, and aggressive. The bluegills, pumpkinseeds, and greens all spawn together and make some really cool looking hybrids. Tons of rock bass around the docks too.

I love that the lowly cypress trout made the pic cut.

Thanks

Unfortunately they're hated up North. They call them dogfish and prefer to shoot them with a bow. Sometimes I'll see dead ones lying in the road that people tossed out like trash.

That treble looks like it hurts!

Nice variety of fish.
